Off to an art opening down on Second Avenue

One Friday night took us down to a fantastic art opening at a gallery located on 2nd Avenue in Soho.

One of Tim's work mates husband was part of the exhibit so we went along to support Jane.

Our adventure continues in the Big Apple.

As spring starts to warm everything up the city has really come alive with art openings like this one, bars have opened out onto the sidewalks, dinning has move outside and there is a feeling of happiness on the streets. It's fantastic.

Friends from Philly

In an attempt to give our little place some more colour and atmosphere I bought three primary paint colours, a cheap canvas and chucked them (literally) together!!

The result a new modern art installation that works really well in our lounge room and goes perfectly with our existing colour scheme!!

A night out with Mary J and Dolly

On Toni's last night in Manhattan we all went to our favourite drag restaurant 'Lips' in the West Village for a night of very, very strong mimosas, hearty food and half an hour of dazzling drag performances with extravagant costumes and brilliant performances by three very talented and funny drag queens.

A quick stop off at Rice to Riches in Soho to refuel with a sugar fix and crack on with more shopping!!

Speaking of orange, we both felt in order to qualify to work in this world famous

department store it seems you need to have the IQ of an orange or any citrus derivative!! Some of the staff we encountered were not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Dog sitting in Chelsea

While Toni was in town we were also dog sitting over in a stunning brand new apartment in Chelsea over on 9th Avenue.

Here is Grady (on my lap) and Julio enjoying the morning sun while I have a nice cup of tea. These are the two very cute boys we were looking after for a week while their dads were away skiing in Colorado.

It was so nice to be around such loving and sweet animals again but it made us want our cats more then ever!!
